Summer has been an exciting and productive season at the Snoqualmie Valley Museum! From expanding collections access to bringing history into our communities, we’ve been busy preserving and sharing the stories of the Snoqualmie Valley.
Our New Collections Workroom is Complete!
We’re excited to announce the completion of our new Collections Workroom! The space now includes five new volunteer workstations, giving our growing team the room and resources to process, catalog, and digitize more of the museum’s collections than ever before.
We’re also thrilled to welcome nine college interns this summer. Working alongside our dedicated volunteers, they’ll be helping preserve and share the Valley’s history through cataloging, digitization, and research projects.
Thousands More Historic Records Available Online
Thanks to the incredible work of our spring intern team, 322 early Snoqualmie Valley records dating from 1913 to 1926 are now available to researchers, genealogists, and history enthusiasts through our online collections database.

And we’re just getting started! Over the coming weeks, we’ll be adding more than 10,000 additional photographs, documents, and artifacts to our online collections, bringing the total number of searchable items to over 20,000.
Making the Valley’s history accessible to everyone, anywhere, is one of our highest priorities, and we’re excited to continue opening our collections to the public.

One of our favorite parts of summer is meeting our communities where they are. So far this season we’ve enjoyed participating in:

Upcoming Program: Fall City 101
Join Executive Director Cristy Lake for Fall City 101 on Friday, July 10, at 6:30 p.m. at the Meadowbrook Farm Interpretive Center, 1711 Boalch Ave NW, North Bend, WA 98045.
Whether you’re a lifelong resident or new to the Valley, this presentation explores the people, places, and stories that shaped the community of Fall City.

Story Time Continues
Our popular Story Time program continues throughout the summer on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Mondays of each month at 11:00 a.m.
Designed for young children and their caregivers, Story Time combines books, crafts, and local history to inspire the next generation of Valley historians.
Snoqualmie Valley Heritage Trail Website is Live!
We’re excited to announce that the new Snoqualmie Valley Heritage Trail website is now live! The site makes it easier than ever to explore the rich history of communities throughout the Valley and discover the people, places, and stories that make this region so special.
Summer Kids Activity: Build Your Favorite Place!
Families are invited to participate in our summer activity by picking up a Shoebox Diorama Kit at the museum.
Kids can create a miniature model of their favorite place in the Snoqualmie Valley using the provided supplies and their own creativity. Completed dioramas can be entered into our summer contest for a chance to have their work showcased.
We can’t wait to see the Valley through the eyes of its youngest historians!
